Acquiring a community centre 

The Acquisition of a MIS community centre: There is a scarcity of hubs and community
centres focused on the Islamic needs of communities within our localities, and MIS
sees this as an opportunity to establish a centre that drives the propagation of Islam.

The community centre will also:
a. Establish activities that promote and educate the community on the
teachings of Islam
b. Serve as permanent madrasa venue
c. Host programs that mark key Islamic milestones/ dates i.e. Ramadan Tafseer,
Eid etc.
d. Host daily prayers

MIS has through its current membership raised about £70,000!
Current members make a perpetual payment of £10/month/person to support cost
of acquiring a permanent premise. MIS has set up a property team that has researched for properties within 5 miles of
our current locality. The team has advised that suitable properties are being
advertised for between £150,000 to £250,000.

Contributions towards the aim of acquiring a community centre are welcome and highly appreaciated. 
Expanding our Madrasa

With a community centre, MIS believes that it can expand the madrasa beyond its current
size to meet the Islamic education of children in the community.
Hosting islamic gatherings
​
The creation of a multi-purpose centre that will run and coordinate socio- Islamic services for the benefit of particularly members. Services include but not limited to Eid, funerals, weddings, naming ceremonies, interfaith activities and counselling services.
Hosting daily prayers
​
The establishment of a place of worship and holding of prayer meetings to enlighten the
general public interested in the teachings of Islam.
